TY Martial Arts is offering a 3 month program on the fundamentals of self defense and personal protection based on ideas and concepts from Jesse Glover’s Non-Classical Gung Fu.

The student can expect to achieve a basic level of skill and the tools necessary to protect themselves in a violent encounter as well as practical steps to recognizing and avoiding potential encounters.

  • The program includes 13 private 1 hour classes weekly, divided over 3 months. Scheduling is flexible.
  • Classes are private and can be done online or in person.
  • Students will learn in a friendly, safe and relaxed environment.
  • Classes are open to everyone whether they have a background in martial arts or are just starting out.
  • If desired, there will be opportunities for students to train together when appropriate in order to mutually advance and test their skills.
  • Students have the option of continuing their training after the program with private or group classes.
  • For women interested in this program, it can be modified to address the specific scenarios and challenges that they personally face. Students are welcome to bring a spouse, partner or friend to train with them at no additional charge.

The program curriculum is split into 3 parts and is detailed below:
